The reason for the high incidence of blackjack dealer busts is simple. When a dealer hits a six, it often signals that he or she has been dealt an extremely poor hand.
In most cases, this means that the player is likely to lose the entire bet. Therefore, it is not surprising that dealers are often forced to surrender their hands when they hit a six.
However, this does not mean that all six-card hands are bad. In fact, some of them can be quite advantageous for the player.
For example, if the player gets an ace and a two-card suit other than black, then he or she has a very strong hand.
