The roulette wheel has a number of pockets around its circumference. These pockets are used to hold the bettors’ chips, and they are in turn divided into sections or “chips.
” The dealer then places a bet on one of these sections, and the ball is dropped into the wheel.
As the ball makes its way around the wheel, it occasionally comes into contact with one of the pockets. If this happens, then the ball will bounce off the pocket and continue on its way.
The closer the ball gets to a particular pocket, the more likely it is to bounce off that pocket. This process is what determines whether or not a player wins or loses their bet.
