Are Any Blackjack Side Bets Worth It?

There is no definitive answer to this question as it depends on a player’s individual preferences and playing style. However, some side bets that may be worth consideration for blackjack players include the following:

-Double Down: This bet is made by placing two cards face-up on the table, one above the other. If the first card drawn is an ace, then the player is awarded two additional cards and can either keep both of them or discard one and replace it with the second card.

If the first card drawn is a two, three, four, or five, then the player loses the double down bet and only receives one new card.

-Quadruple Down: This bet is also made by placing two cards face-up on the table, one above the other. However, in this case, if the first card drawn is an ace, then the player is awarded four additional cards and can either keep all four of them or discard any two and replace them with the remaining two.

If the first card drawn is a two, three, four, or five, then the player loses the quadruple down bet and only receives two new cards.

-Golden Hand: This side bet requires players to place all of their chips into a designated area on the table before drawing a hand of blackjack. If they are able to draw a hand that totals at least 21 points (including any wildcards), then they are awarded their entire stake – no matter what else may be left on their table.
