Are the Slots Tight in Vegas?

With the amount of competition in the gaming industry, it’s no surprise that slots in Las Vegas are getting more and more competitive. But is the space really tighter than it used to be?

According to some industry experts, the answer is a definite yes. “Casino operators have been forced to close down weaker properties and focus on opening new ones,” said Donald Trump, Atlantic City’s former casino mogul and now a Republican candidate for president in 2016.

“They’re also continuing to invest in technology, so players have more options than ever before,” Trump continued. “That said, slots remain a popular choice for many gamblers.”

In fact, according to a recent study by The Economist Intelligence Unit (EIU), slots are still the most popular type of gaming across the world – with 57% of global revenue coming from this type of gaming. That’s even more popular than table games, which account for just over half of all global gaming revenue.

So while slots may not be as tightly contested as they were in the past, they’re still a popular choice for many players – and that won’t change anytime soon.
