Can a Casino Refuse to Pay Out Blackjack?

Casinos are businesses and as such, they must adhere to the lAWS of the land in which they are located. In the United States, for example, casinos are required to pay out at least 97% of all winnings in blackjack.

This policy is in place in order to protect players from being cheated and to maintain a level playing field.

There have been cases, however, where casinos have refused to pay out blackjack players. In these cases, the casino may argue that the player did not meet the basic requirements of the game – such as betting at least $1 per hand.

If a player is found to be cheating or playing unfairly, their casino may refuse to payout any of their winnings.
