How to Deal Blackjack – Basic Strategy

In blackjack, the hand with the most cards (total value of face cards and 10s, Aces high) is considered to be the “strong” hand, and is given a “point” bonus. The hand with the second-most cards is considered the “weak” hand, and does not receive a bonus.

In order to win in blackjack, one must beat the dealer’s hand by at least one point.

There are several ways to win in blackjack, but the most common way is to achieve a “natural” or “hard” count. A natural count is when all of your cards are counted (e.g., 2-2-5, 3-3-8).

A hard count is when one or more of your cards are not counted (e.g., 2-2-5, 2-3-7). .

There are other ways to win as well, but these are the two most common. To increase your chances of winning in blackjack, follow these basic rules:

1) Keep your cards tight – Don’t let the dealer see any more cards than necessary. This will help you avoid giving away too many clues about your hand.

2) Make sure you always have a good chance of getting a “natural” or “hard” count – If you can achieve either of these counts without any help from the dealer, it will almost always result in an automatic loss for the dealer.
