Russian roulette is a game of chance in which a player risks a number of rounds of ammunition, typically six, by spinning the cylinder of a revolver and firing one round at a time. If the round fired from the revolver enters the barrel at an angle other than that required to discharge the weapon, the gun is said to be “loaded.
” If a player chooses to spin the cylinder and take their chances, they are gambling on whether or not their bullet will hit one of the loaded chambers.
There is no sure way to win Russian roulette, as even if you avoid loading your weapon, there is always a risk that someone else in the room will do so before you have a chance to fire. In fact, according to legend, one man almost won a million dollars playing Russian roulette at a casino in Atlantic City in 1976.
His bullet struck one of the loaded chambers, but he was not lucky enough to get his money back.
