Can You Have More Than 5 Cards in Blackjack?

The answer to this question is a bit murky. There are a few schools of thought on the matter, but most experts seem to agree that in most cases, you can’t have more than five cards in blackjack.

One school of thought believes that as long as you keep your total hand below 21, you’re good to go. Another theory is that if you have a hand that includes an Ace and two other cards of equal value, it’s considered a “natural,” and as such, you’re allowed to keep the hand.

However, the vast majority of experts believe that if you have more than five cards in your hand, it’s not going to make much of a difference – either way, you’re going to lose money. So, unless you want to incur some serious losses, it’s probably best to stick to having four or five cards in blackjack.
