Can You Just Keep Doubling Your Bet in Blackjack?

The answer to this question is a resounding “no.” At some point, your odds of winning will begin to diminish markedly.

After playing for a while, it is likely that you will have lost more money than you have won.

In blackjack, the house advantage is always two-to-one. So if you are betting $10 per hand, your odds of winning are $20 in favor of the house.

After playing for awhile and betting $20 per hand on average, your chance of winning drops to $10 because the house now has $40 in winnings while you have only bet $30. If you keep doubling your bet, eventually your chance of winning will be zero.
