Can You Use 4 RAM Slots?

When building a gaming PC, one of the most important considerations is the amount of memory available. In order to fit the most popular games on today’s hard drives, system builders need at least 4GB of RAM.

However, not all video cards support 4GB of memory. So what do you do if you have only 3GB of RAM.

In order to fit all the necessary software and hardware on your gaming PC, you may be forced to install 3GB of RAM in addition to your 4GB maximum. This means that you will have to use one of your system’s available memory slots for a third memory module.

Unfortunately, this leaves you with only two slots for other components on your build.

So can you use four RAM slots on a gaming PC The answer is yes, but it will require some creative thinking and planning on your part. First, make sure that the video card you choose supports at least 3GB of memory. If not, then you may be forced to install a third module in one of your system’s available slots.

Second, plan your build around the modules that will be housed in your system’s slots. For example, if you choose a video card with two slots, then installmodules in those slots first and leave the third slot free for other components.
