Dying Light is a first-person, open-world action-horror video game set in the city of Harran, in post-apocalyptic Central America. The game was developed by Techland and published by Warner Bros.
Interactive Entertainment. Dying Light is an expansion of the Dying Light: The Following – an earlier game in the series – and was released on February 10, 2016 for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
The player takes control of Kyle Crane, a character who returns to Harran after escaping the city in Dying Light’s predecessor. As Crane explores the city, he comes into conflict with the various factions that have established themselves there following the outbreak of a worldwide pandemic that has killed most of mankind.
To survive, players must scavenge supplies and fight off enemies using weapons and abilities acquired during their journey.
In Dying Light, players are able to save their progress at any point in the game by returning to previously visited locations. However, Techland has stated that Dying Light does not feature any form of autosave functionality.
