In the 19th century, poker was played primarily by wealthy gentlemen in private clubs. However, as the game grew in popularity, so did the need for a place where players could go to gamble and have some fun.
In 1952, a group of businessmen in Atlantic City decided to open up a poker room in one of their casinos. It wasn’t an easy task – they had to convince skeptical casino managers that there was money to be made by catering to poker players.
But eventually, they succeeded and the poker room became a huge success.
Today, there are dozens of hard rock AC poker rooms across the United States. Some are large and luxurious, while others are small and more intimate.
