Does the Dealer Win if You Both Have Blackjack?

There is a lot of debate on whether the dealer or player “wins” when both players have blackjack. The answer really depends on a few factors, including the game that is being played, how much money is involved, and the player’s strategy.

In most cases, it would appear that the player who has better cards (higher total value) generally “wins.” However, this is not always the case and there are several factors that can affect the outcome.

For example, if the player has a high-value card that is close to matching the dealer’s total value, they may be able to get away with simply playing it as if it were an Ace (even if it’s not actually an Ace). In contrast, if the player has a low-value card that does not match the dealer’s total value, they may need to either hit or stand in order to have any chance of winning.

Overall, it appears that the player usually “wins” when both players have blackjack. However, this is not always the case and there are several factors that can affect the outcome.
