Does the World Poker Tour Still Exist?

The World Poker Tour still exists as an entity, although there have been changes made to it over the years. In 2007, the WPT merged with the World Series of Poker (WSOP) and became known as the Poker Tour.

This led to some confusion among poker fans since the WPT is known for its high-stakes events and the WSOP for its lower-stakes tournaments. In 2013, the WPT separated from the WSOP and became its own entity again.

In terms of tournaments, the Poker Tour has continued to offer high-stakes events as well as lower-stakes events. The biggest change has been in the number of tournaments offered; previously, there were a lot more high-stakes tournaments than lower-stakes tournaments.

However, in recent years there has been an increase in the number of lower-stakes tournaments, which may be due to concerns about player addiction and gambling problems.

Overall, although there have been some changes made to the World Poker Tour over the years, it still exists as an entity and offers a variety of tournaments.
