How Are Spell Slots Determined?

Spell slots are determined by the character’s class and level. A spell slot is a pool of energy that a spellcaster can use to cast a spell.

A spellcaster can use only a certain number of spell slots per day, and some spells require more slots than others. The number of slots a character has is determined by his or her class and level.

A cleric has two spell slots per day at first level, and three at third level. A wizard has one spell slot per day at first level, and two at third level.

A sorcerer/wizard has one spell slot per day at first level, and one and one-half at third level.
