How Big Is a Professional Poker Table?

Professional poker tables are typically much larger than your average kitchen table. This is because the game of poker is a physical and mental challenge that requires a large playing surface.

A typical poker table will be around 78 inches wide by 30 inches deep. This gives players plenty of room to spread out their cards and make their hands.

Some poker tables even have an additional foot or two of space to the side and rear, so that players can comfortably rest their arms while they’re playing. And since most poker games last around six hours, a professional table is also big enough to accommodate several players at once.

So what’s the size of a typical home poker table? Probably about half the size of a professional table – around 40 inches wide by 20 inches deep. That’s still plenty of room for four or five people to play, but it won’t have the same level of luxury or extra space for card storage.
