How Do Bets Work in Blackjack?

Bets in blackjack are a way for players to make more money. The basic idea is that if you are able to guess the number that will be shown before the dealer makes his or her hand, you can make a bet on that number.

The casino will then give you back the amount of your bet, as well as any additional winnings that you may have earned.

There are a few things to keep in mind when making bets in blackjack:

1. Bets must be made before the dealer makes his or her hand.

This means that you cannot place a bet after the dealer has revealed his or her hand.

2. Bets are always placed against the dealer, even if you are playing with another player.

This means that if the dealer has a 10 and you place a bet of $5, the casino will give you back $10 and your original $5 bet plus any winnings that you may have earned.

3. Bets can be made on any number from 1 to 21, as well as on any face card (including jacks, queens and kings).

4. Bets can be either positive (in which case you hope to earn more money than you lose) or negative (in which case you hope to lose less money than you bet).
