How Do Roulette Wheels Work?

Roulette wheels are designed to randomly choose one of 36 numbers that are displayed on the wheel. The ball is then placed at one of the numbered spots on the wheel and a small metal arm called a “roulette stick” is lowered down over it. The arm has a number of small, sharp blades that cut into the ball and cause it to spin around. The ball is then lifted up and placed into a cup that is part of the machine.

This process is repeated until the ball has fallen off of the wheel and landed in one of the cUPS. If it falls into any other cup, then that player loses the game.
