Blackjack is a popular casino game that can be played with either real money or in-game currency. To play blackjack, players must place chips on either the face of the dealer or on any number between one and 21.
The goal of the game is to achieve as close to 21 points as possible without going over.
There are two main types of blackjack: single-deck and double-deck. In single-deck blackjack, the deck has only fifty cards.
In double-deck blackjack, the deck has two different kinds of cards, called face cards and ten card. Face cards are worth ten points each, while ten card cards have values from one to five.
To play blackjack, players must decide how much to bet before the hand begins. The minimum bet is one chip, while the maximum bet is five chips.
Players can also wager on hands that have already started by placing additional chips on any number between one and 21.
Once the bets are placed, the dealer will give each player two cards face down. The first player to turn over their card wins the hand. Cards with a value of 10 or Ace are considered “high” cards, while cards with a value of 2 through 9 are considered “low” cards.
If a player’s card matches either of the two given cards, they receive five points and the next card is turned over. If a player’s card doesn’t match either of the given cards, they lose that hand and any chips they had placed on that particular number.
Players can also win in blackjack by getting a “natural” or “blackjack” trigger. A natural trigger occurs when a player receives a natural eleven or twenty-one in their hand – this is known as a “blackjacker” or “strip-setter” and results in an automatic win for that player. A blackjacker can also occur if another player drops their hand before anyone has had a chance to turn over their second card – this is known as being “stacked” and results in an automatic loss for the other players involved in that particular hand.
