How Do You Calculate the Probability of Blackjack?

In blackjack, the probability of any given outcome is determined by the odds of that particular combination of cards being drawn. The odds are always expressed as a percentage, with 100% being the most likely outcome.

To calculate the probability of any given outcome, you first need to know the odds of each possible combination of cards being drawn. For example, in a game of blackjack, there are 21 different possible card combinations (two cards of each type: face cards and 10 numbers). The odds for each combination are as follows:

1 in 4 (25%)
2 in 3 (33.33%)
3 in 2 (50%)
4 in 1 (100%)
5 or less (0%)
So, for example, if you are playing with a deck of 52 cards and want to know the probability of getting a 7 or an Ace as your first card, you would look at the table above and find that the odds for getting either 7 or Ace as your first card are 1 in 4.

This means that the probability of getting either 7 or Ace as your first card is 25%.
