How Do You Count a Roulette Wheel?

Roulette wheels have 36 slots that a ball can travel through. The ball can either bounce off the wheel and hit one of the numbers on the wheel, or it can go through a number and stop at a different number on the wheel. Roulette wheels are numbered 1 to 36, 1 being the outer edge of the wheel, and 36 being in the center. To count how many times the ball has bounced off the wheel, start at one end of the wheel and count how many times you pass over a number. If you bounce off of a number twice, that number is counted as two bounces. If you bounce off of a number three times, that number is counted as three bounces.

If you bounce off of a number four times, that number is counted as four bounces. If you bounce off of a number five times, that number is counted as five bounces. If you bounce off of a number six times, that number is counted as six bounces. And so on. Once you have counted to 36, add up all of the numbers that you have bounced off of and that will give you your total roulette spins for that round. .

Some casinos also use what is called “the point spread.” This is simply how much money different numbers are worth in relation to each other.

For instance, Roulette Number 18 might be worth twice as much as Roulette Number 3, so if your bet is on Number 18 then your bet would be two chips (or wagers) instead of one chip on Number 3. The point spread allows gamblers to make bets with more precision since they know exactly how much they’re risking for each particular spin of the wheel.
