Poker fireplaces can be a great way to add character and warmth to any room. They are easy to build, and all you need is some basic tools and a little bit of woodworking knowledge.
To make a poker fireplace, you will need the following items:

-Safety glasses -An electric fire starter such as a Butane Torch lighter (available at most hardware stores) -A poker table or similar surface to set the fire on (optional) Step One: Assemble the Base The first step is to assemble the base of your poker fireplace. This will include cutting out a hole in the plywood for the firebox and attaching the two short pieces of lumber to form a base. It is important that this base is level so that your poker table will sit securely on it. If you don’t have access to a level surface, you can use blocks of wood to help ensure accuracy. Step Two: Assemble the Firebox The next step is to build the firebox. This includes cutting out a hole in the top of the plywood and attaching it to the base with screws and/or nails. You will also need to cut a notch in one end of the 2×4 or 2×6 so that it can fit into the firebox opening.
Next, put in some poker chips, light your lighter fluid, and set your electric fire starter on flame. When everything is lit, carefully open up the door to your poker fireplace and let the flames take care of business! Step Three: Paint andfinish If you would like to paint your poker fireplace, now is the time. First, use your ruler and tape measure to divide your opening into sections. Then, use your paintbrush and/or spray paint to cover each section with color. Once all sections are finished, use a sandpaper block (or your hand) to smooth out any rough edges. Finally, use a finishing touch of sealant or varnish if desired. Step Four: Enjoy Your New Poker Fireplace!
