How Do You Play Blackjack Blazing?

Blackjack Blazing is a variation of blackjack that uses a different set of rules. The goal of the game is to score as many points as possible by making cards that add up to 21 (a “natural”), while avoiding cards that add up to 10 (a “hard”).

The game is played with a standard 52-card deck, with two jokers. The player begins by putting down either a black or red card, then drAWS two replacement cards. Cards rank from 2 through 10, with 2 being the Lowest and 10 being the highest. Aces are worth one point, 2s are worth two points, 3s are worth three points, 4s are worth four points, 5s are worth five points, 6s are worth six points, and 7s and 8s are both worth one point.

Tens are worth ten points and face value minus the point value of the card played (e.g., 8 equals -2). Jokers have no value and can only be used to help make a natural.

Once all five cards have been drawn, the player either stands or plays another black or red card. The goal is to make as many natural cards as possible, while avoiding any hard cards (10s or better). If the player stands, they continue drawing replacement cards until they either stand again or run out of cards. If the player plays another card, they discard one card from their hand and draw two more replacement cards.

Play then continues as before until either the player either stands or runs out of cards again. If the player ever makes a hard card (10), they lose the game and must start over.

The game is over when either: 1) all players have lost; or 2) one player has accumulated 21 points or more (this includes both natural and hard points). The player with the most accumulated points at the end wins the game.
