How Do You Read a Blackjack Chart?

A blackjack chart displays how much your potential winnings are based on the number of blackjack hands you are dealt and the number of decks of cards that are used. The chart is typically displayed in a vertical or horizontal format, and it lists each possible hand combination along with its payout.

To read a blackjack chart, you first need to know the layout. The chart will typically have two columns: the left column will list the hands and the right column will list the payouts.

The lower portion of the chart will list the payouts for a specific hand combination, while the upper portion will list all possible payouts for that combination. You’ll need to know which row and column corresponds to which hand combination in order to determine your payout.

For instance, if you are dealt a 5-of-a-kind hand in column 1 and a 2-of-a-kind hand in column 2, your payout would be 10 points in column 1 and 20 points in column 2. If you are dealt any other hand combination, your payout would be zero points.

Once you know your payout for a specific hand combination, you can use that information to make gambling decisions. For instance, if you’re playing blackjack with someone at a casino and they deal you a 3-of-a-kind hand in column 1 and a 2-of-a-kind hand in column 2, it’s probably not worth it to play that hand because your payout would be only six points (three points for each hand).

However, if someone at the casino were to deal you an Ace of Spades in column 1 and any other card in column 2, it’s most likely worth playing that hand because your potential payout is 18 points (10 points for the 5-of-a-kind hand plus 8 points for the Ace of Spades).
