How Does a Poker Straddle Work?

-A poker straddle is a hand in poker that consists of two cards, one higher than the other. The goal of the straddle is to make all four hands better than they would be if the player did not straddle.

-To make a poker straddle, the player must firstly determine which card they want to be higher. They can then decide which other player they want to straddle with.

-The player then puts all of their money into the pot on the bet that corresponds to their chosen card, and also puts all of the money into the pot for their chosen opponent as well. If their chosen card is higher than their opponent’s, then they win both pots and take no action.

-However, if their chosen card is lower than their opponent’s, then they lose both pots and take action accordingly. If their chosen opponent does not have any money in either pot, then the player wins both pots and takes no action.

-If both players have the same card, then there is no bet and neither player wins or loses anything.
