How Does a Push Work in Blackjack?

In blackjack, a push is a term used to describe when you push all of your chips forward in an attempt to win a hand. A push is considered a form of gambling, so be aware that if you are caught pushing, you may be penalized by the casino.

When you make a push, you are essentially saying that you believe you can beat the dealer and want to put all your chips on the table. The dealer will then give you a set number of cards and depending on how good your hand is, you may or may not end up winning.

If the dealer gives you an Ace high card (a ten, Jack, Queen or King), then you are considered to have bust (lost) and the casino will give you back all of your chips. If the dealer gives you any other card, then your hand is considered to be good and you will end up winning some or all of your chips.

So how does a push work in blackjack? Basically, it’s an attempt to increase your chances of winning a hand by putting all of your chips on the table. Be aware that if you are caught pushing, you may end up losing all of your chips.
