How Does All Bets Blackjack Work?

There are essentially three main ways to play blackjack: with a standard deck, with a 21 or 21-count deck, and with a joker. In each case, the player bets on either the number of cards that will be turned up (called “the point”), or on the total number of cards in the deck.

When playing with a standard deck, each card is dealt face down to the player, and the player must turn over any card that is equal to or greater than the number on their bet. If the player turns over a card that is less than the number on their bet, they lose their bet and receive nothing back.

When playing with a 21-count deck, each card is dealt face down to the player, and the player must turn over any card that is equal to or greater than the number on their bet plus 1. If the player turns over a card that is less than the number on their bet plus 1, they lose their bet and receive nothing back.

When playing with a joker, no cards are dealt. The joker functions as both an ace (worth 1) and a 10 (worth 10).

Any other card value counts as 1.
