How Does Blackjack Payout?

Blackjack pays out according to the rules of the game. The dealer hand is dealt face down, and each player is dealt two cards face up. The objective of the game is to make as few hand totals as possible, by taking cards to make a total below 21, and then discarding any higher cards.

The player with the Lowest hand total wins the round. The dealer then makes a second hand, which starts the next round.

The house edge in blackjack is approximately 2% for basic play, so for every $100 played, the casino will earn $2. In some variations of blackjack, such as high-stakes blackjack, the house edge can be as high as 5%.

This means that for every $100 played, the casino will earn $5.
