Blackjack is a popular casino game that can be played with a single deck of cards or with a pair of decks of cards. The basic strategy for blackjack is to make sure that you never exceed your hand value. If you are dealt a card worth 10 points, for example, you would ideally want to keep all of your cards worth 1-9 points in your hand in order to stay below 10 points.
However, if you are dealt a card worth 11 points, for example, you would ideally want to discard one of your cards and keep another card in your hand that would bring your total up to 10 points or less so that you would not have to hit on an 11th card.
There are several different variations of blackjack that are available at most casinos. One variation, called “double down blackjack,” allows players to double their original bet if they are dealt a two or more card hand that totals 21 points or more.
This increases the chances of winningnings since it creates more opportunities for players to gain extra cards and make more favourable hands.
