The basic rules of roulette are as follows: The player chooses one or more numbers from 1 to 36 (or 37) and places a bet on that number. The dealer then spins the roulette wheel and sets it in motion, making its various revolutions around the gaming table.
As each ball falls into one of 36 numbered slots on the wheel, it knocks over any chips that are already in that slot (and also any that may have been placed there since the last time the wheel was spun). The payoff for a successful bet depends on how many numbers are shown on the roulette wheel after any particular spin of the wheel. In this case, each number shown after one spin would contribute to either red’s potential payout (if it had landed there), or black’s potential payout (if it had landed there). If neither number landed in that slot, then no payout would be awarded – even though both bets would have been correct!.
There are several things to keep in mind when playing roulette:
1) The odds are always against you – even if you play perfectly every time.
