How Does the Dealer Win in Blackjack?

In blackjack, the house always wins. This is because, as with all casino games, the house edge is always greater than 1%. This means that for every 100 hands of blackjack played, the house will win 88 hands and lose 12.

In other words, the house edge on blackjack is approximately 2.6%.

There are a few ways in which a dealer can win at blackjack. The most common way is to hit on every hand. If a dealer gets to 21 without being hit, they have won the hand and collected their money plus any additional winnings from the player. Another way for a dealer to win is to get an Ace or two up in their hands.

If a player is dealt an Ace and two cards that total five or less, they are forced to put money back into the pot and give the dealer another card. If the dealer gets an Ace and two cards that total six or more, they are awarded a point and keep the original card. If the player has a higher total than the dealer, they lose the hand.
