There are a variety of ways in which the roulette table pays out. The most common way is for the ball to randomly drop down into one of the dozen or so pockets on the table, resulting in a payout for the player who placed their bet on that pocket. However, there are also variations of roulette in which players can win based on specific rules set in place by the casino. For example, some casinos offer “wheel” roulette, which allows players to win based on whether or not their number comes up as part of a certain wheel pattern.
In other variations, such as “European roulette,” players can win by taking any number above or below a certain number assigned to them at the start of the game. Finally, some casinos offer “pick-6” roulette, where players can win by betting on any of six numbers displayed on a wheel.
