When you create a character in TERA, you have the option to choose from one of six races: Human, Elf, Drake, Orc, Troll and Argonian. Once you pick a race, you get to choose between two character classes: Warrior or Magician.
Each class has four character slots. You can also choose to be a dual class character with one of the two classes.
Each race has its own set of abilities and bonuses that are unique to that race. For example, Orcs are physically stronger than other races, and Trolls are naturally resistant to magic damage.
Dual class characters have the benefits of both classes, but they can’t pick the same class as their primary character.
There are also two gender choices for your character: male or female. Once you make your choices, your account is locked in and you can’t change any of those choices until your account is unlocked.
After your account is unlocked, you can start creating new characters with the same race and class options as your old ones.
