In blackjack, there are typically two types of hands – a 21 and a 10. In a typical game of blackjack, each player is dealt six cards, and the player with the highest card (a face card) deals first. If the card is a 21, the player can either “stand” (keep playing) or “bust” (give up the hand and receive nothing). If the card is a 10, the player can either “stand” or “double down” (put another $2 into the bet).
After each player has taken their turn, the dealer reshuffles the cards and passes them out again. The game is over when one player has been dealt all of their cards and has either no more options or no more money. .
In Las Vegas casinos, there are typically between 2-5 decks of cards used in blackjack. This means that in any given hand there are between 26-54 cards available to be dealt.
As long as you have at least one higher than average card (a 21 or above), you have a chance of winning the hand.
