There are nine item slots in League of Legends. This number can change based on the game mode, as some modes feature more slots than others.

The final way to increase the number of item slots is to find or purchase an item that has a unique effect that allows it to be placed in multiple slots, such as Randuin’s Omen or Trinity Force.
