In blackjack, there are two main types of hands: a keno hand and a standard hand.
A keno hand has 10 cards and 1 Ace. The point value of the Aces is 2 points.
A standard hand has 20 cards and no Aces. The point value of the Aces is 1 point.
There are also aces-up and two-card hands, which have different point values. In an aces-up hand, there are at least one Ace and at least one other card of equal or lesser value. The point value of an aces-up hand is 3 points.
In a two-card hand, only one card has an Ace value and the other card has a non-Ace value. The point value of a two-card hand is 1 point.
There are also hands with no points at all, such as split hands and flush hands. In split hands, each player gets two cards face down, and then both players turn their cards over simultaneously. Flush hands are similar to split hands, except that all five cards must be of the same suit (e.g.
, Spades, Hearts, Diamonds). The point value for flush hands is 0 points.
