In order to place 5th in the world, the MIT Blackjack Team played against teams from all over the world, some of which consisted of professionals. This rigorous competition must have taken a toll on the team as they only earned $339,263 which is considerably less than other top-tier blackjack teams.
It is clear that more dedication and practice is needed to achieve success at this competitive game. .
Despite their lower earnings, the MIT Blackjack Team’s hard work and dedication was rewarded with a place in the world’s top five blackjack teams. They will now have to continue their training in order to compete against teams from universities such as Harvard and Cambridge who are already much better prepared than they are.
