In blackjack, there are two main ways to bust: Hit or Stand.
Hitting can result in either a gain or a loss. If you hit, you get the original card value plus the number of points earned by the dealer.
If the dealer also hits, then both players get an additional point for each point earned. For example, if the dealer is at 21 and you hit, you would get a total of 22 points – 2 + 1 = 3.
If you stand, you lose whatever bet you made and the hand is over. This can be a bad decision if the dealer has a high hand (such as an 8 or higher), as you’ll lose even if the hand ends in a tie.
On the other hand, if the dealer has a low hand (such as a 2 or lower), standing can be a good decision since the chances of winning are much higher than if you hit.
