This leaves Bovada and other similar sites vulnerable to state action if they are found to be operating illegally.

In early 2018, state authorities conducted a series of raids on several Oregon casinos and poker rooms suspected of operating illegally as part of an investigation into sports betting. At this time, it is not clear whether Bovada or any other online gambling site was among the Targets of this investigation.

However, given that Bovada is legal in Oregon and has a strong reputation for providing quality gambling experiences, it is unlikely that the site will be closed down anytime soon.
