Foxwoods Poker Open is an online poker tournament with a $1 million guaranteed prize pool. The tournament begins on January 20, 2019 and runs for eight days.
The first prize is $200,000 and the top ten players will receive payouts totaling $2.5 million.
The tournament has a mix of poker variants including Texas Hold’em, Omaha Hold’em, 7-card stud, and Razz. The buy-in for the event is $10 and the maximum stack size is 100,000 chips.
Players must be at least 18 years old to participate in Foxwoods Poker Open. The tournament uses a Swiss system with a random draw to determine the starting positions.
There are three levels of play: Gold, Silver, and Bronze. Players are assigned randomly to one of the three levels based on their total number of active poker hands played in the past six months.
The first day of the event features a 100-player single-elimination tournament. The final table will be comprised of 32 players and the first place player will receive $1 million.
The second place player will receive $600,000, the third place player will receive $400,000, the fourth place player will receive $300,000, and the fifth through eighth place players will each receive $200,000. The ninth through 32nd place players will each receive $100,000.
