Is Global Poker Regulated?

There is no global poker regulatory body, but some countries – such as the United States – have enacted lAWS regulating online poker. In other countries, like France, online poker is not regulated.

Some global operators have voluntarily agreed to abide by certain global standards, but there is no globally binding regulatory framework in place.

Some operators believe that global regulation is necessary to prevent criminal activity and protect players’ interests. Others argue that voluntary compliance with global standards would be more effective in protecting players.

There is no consensus on the best way to regulate online poker, and the issue remains a contentious one.
