The legality of online casino in Pennsylvania is a matter of debate. While some state lawmakers are pushing for legislation that would legalize and regulate online gambling, others believe the activity is illegal under state and federal law. In December of 2014, the Pennsylvania General Assembly passed a bill that would have allowed for the operation of online casinos but the governor vetoed the bill. In response, the state’s Senate passed a revised version of the bill in February 2015.
However, Governor Tom Wolf has not yet indicated whether or not he will sign the bill into law. If he does not sign it, Pennsylvania would be one of several states without any form of legal online gambling.
