Is Online Video Blackjack Rigged?

An online blackjack player may be forgiven for thinking that the game is rigged in favour of the house. After all, the house edge on blackjack is about 1.

7 percent, which is much higher than the edge in any other casino game.

But is online blackjack really rigged? A study published in The Journal of Gambling Studies looked at data from online blackjack games and found that the house edge was actually lower than in traditional casinos. In fact, the edge was only 0.

93 percent.

This suggests that there may not be as much of a house advantage in online blackjack as people think. However, this study is limited in that it does not account for factors such as skill levels and bet sizes.

So it’s possible that the house edge is actually higher in online casinos than it appears.

So while online blackjack may not be rigged to an extreme degree, it’s still worth taking precautions to ensure that you’re playing with a fair advantage.
