For example, if you have four cards in your hand, you must also have four cards in your opponent’s hand. If you have three cards in your hand, you must have three cards in your opponent’s hand. Cards that are face down are not counted when calculating how many cards each player has.
The goal of poker is to make as many hands as possible with a winning combination of cards. A winning combination is made up of two or more cards from the same suit.
For example, if you have an ace and two clubs in your hand, you would make a straight (a sequence of five clubs). If you have an ace and three hearts in your hand, you would make a flush (a sequence of five hearts).
