Is Poker Legal in Oregon?

Oregon is one of the 29 states in the United States that allow poker as a legal game. The game is considered a form of skill, rather than gambling, and is therefore legal in Oregon. However, there are some caveats – for example, poker is not legal in casinos or on Indian reservations. Additionally, while Oregon law allows for individuals 21 years of age or older to play poker, it does not allow for money transactions to take place between players.

In other words, players must bet chips instead of cash. Finally, as with all legal games in Oregon, players must adhere to state and local lAWS when playing poker.
