Is Russian Roulette a Proper Noun?

Russian roulette is a gambling game in which a player spins a cylinder containing six bullets. Each time the cylinder is spun, one of the bullets is removed, until only one bullet remains.

The player then has the option to pull the trigger and risk shooting their own bullet, or let the cylinder spin one more time and hope for a better result. If the player takes the shot, they may win or lose their bet depending on whether or not their bullet lands in the chamber of the gun that is loaded with that particular bullet.

In some cases, Russian roulette can be considered a proper noun because it is a specific game that has a specific name. Other times, it can be considered an adjective to describe a situation or event in which Russian roulette is played.

For example, when someone says that they are “playing Russian roulette” they are usually referring to playing the game itself, not to some other type of gamble. In general, however, Russian roulette can be considered either a noun or an adjective depending on how it is used.
