What Are Face Cards Worth in Blackjack?

Face cards are worth 1, 2, 3, or Ace. In most cases, the higher card is worth more than the lower card. For example, an Ace is worth more than a two.

However, there are a few exceptions to this rule. For example, in a hand where both players have an Ace, the Ace is worth two points.

When two face cards are together (such as two Aces), they are called “natural”, and they are worth 10 points each. When one face card and one number are together (such as a 2 and a 7), they are called “carte blanche”, and they are also worth 10 points each.
