What Are High and Low Cards in Blackjack?

Whether high or low, cards are dealt face down to each player in turn, starting with the Dealer. The face up card of the dealer is also known as the “stock.” The player either “pushes” (takes an additional card) or “pulls” (withdrAWS one card) to determine the game’s next action.

If the player pushes, they must place a bet equal to the value of their original card plus any Ace they may have drawn. If they pull, they only need to place a bet if their new card is higher than their original card.

The game is over when either player has no more cards and the Dealer has two cards remaining. In this case, the Dealer totals up all bets and awards whatever chips were wagered – no matter what that number may be.

The first player to lose all their chips is out of the game, while the second player either takes their turn as Dealer or doubles their original bet (or both).
