What Are Mail Slots?

Mail slots are a term used in the world of email marketing. Mail slots are areas on a recipient’s email inbox where your email will be delivered.

This is different from the “To” list, which is a list of recipients whom you have asked to receive emails from you.

When you create an email, you have the option to include a mail slot. When your recipient receives an email with a mail slot included, your email will be delivered to that recipient’s inbox, even if they are not on the “To” list.

This can be useful if you want to Target a specific audience and don’t want to spam everyone on your recipient’s list.

Mail slots can also be useful for sending out series of emails. For example, if you are running a campaign and you want to send out five different emails about it, you could include five mail slots in each email and send them out one at a time.

This way, your recipients will only receive one message at a time, but they will still receive all of the information about your campaign.

The downside to using mail slots is that it can be difficult to track which emails were sent through mail slots and which were sent through the “To” list. If you have sent out a lot of emails through mail slots, it can be helpful to use something like an automated system to manage your campaigns and track which emails were sent through mail slots and which were sent through the “To” list.
