For example, if a player has a 2-3-4 on their first turn they might put another card down (like an Ace) and then try to make another hand using their original three cards and the new card they put down.
Draw is a five-player variant of poker that was specifically designed for tournament play. In Draw, each player starts with four cards instead of three and tries to make as many hands as possible using those four cards.
Unlike other versions of poker where you can only use one card at a time (for example in Texas Hold’em), you can use all four cards at once in Draw if you want to (although this isn’t always a good idea).
